Prayer Request for Ben Kilcup

Family and Friends,

Please join us in lifting up our brother in Christ, Ben Kilcup, in urgent prayer this week. Ben is currently dedicated to furthering his medical career as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) student at Grand Canyon University (GCU), all while serving others on the front lines as an RN.

Ben is a devoted husband and father, balanced with the beautiful, busy blessing of having two precious kids at home and one more on the way.

The Request

Ben has a critical, program-determinative exam coming up next week. The stakes are incredibly high, and his future in the NP program hinges on this test. He is feeling the weight of it all and needs the body of Christ to stand in the gap for him.

How We Can Pray:

A Spiritual Covering: Pray for absolute peace that surpasses all understanding to guard his heart and mind, casting out all anxiety and fear.

Supernatural Grace & Strength: Pray that God grants him the mental stamina to study effectively and the physical strength to balance work, school, and his growing family.

Clarity and Recall: Pray that during the exam, his mind is sharp, and he is able to clearly recall everything he has studied.

Favor over his Future: Pray that God’s perfect will is done, and that this hurdle becomes a massive testimony of His faithfulness for Ben, his wife, and their children.

Let’s surround the Kilcup family with our faith, love, and prayers over the next few days. We know that where two or more are gathered, He is there.

My wife and I are both Christ-followers and public school teachers. The public school system is growing increasingly dark and demonic, yet we are called to this and approach it as a ministry calling. Public schools are our mission field. Please pray for our marriage, as the enemy would love nothing more than to tear apart a Christian couple and family. Pray that as husband and wife, we would love each other and see each other as Christ loves and sees us. Pray for us to be a team and encourage each other. Pray for our two kids and our family, that our home would be filled with Christ while we are called to serve in this public school system. Pray for our protection, guidance, and wisdom as we go into our classrooms to serve Christ. Pray for opportunities to share Him and grow the Kingdom!

My mum Glenda and I made a mistake at least my mum took some responsibility for once, usually she blames other(s). It was with an ESL student, named Nuri. Hope he forgives us. Hope he doesn’t drop her as we forgot him. My mum is paranoid and thinking she is going to lose all or most of her students forever. I keep on making a lot of mistakes, help me. Don’t know if my mum still thinks this but she thinks I do it all on purpose, as far as I know, not the case, in most cases. She has a temper and she said I have aggressive personality and calls be the ‘b’ word that rhymes with witch. A lot of times I thought I was being nice, and maybe I was, but after she keeps saying it then I really am the ‘b’ word. Hope Heidi phones me and invites me to her birthday, despite haven’t talked to her in a lot time and didn’t get rid of gifts that I didn’t get yet, mostly my mum doesn’t make it easy. Hope my hair grows back quickly. Hope my injuries heal fast.

I have a friend in Japan her name is Yuri Myoshi. She doesn’t know Christ. She is a very humble woman. I was trying to share the Gospel with her because she is going through a very dark time. It appeared that things were starting to look good for her and now she hasn't really had any time to talk so i can share the gospel. The culture and language barrier has made it a little difficult because i didn't want to offend her. She was opened to learn before things got a little darker for her. I think maybe her dad is having health problems and she gave up on her dreams. She really needs prayer and someone to teach her about Christ. She lives on the island of shikoku in rural Kagawa

Good day,

Thank you so much for your continued prayers, encouragement, and faithful support. We are deeply grateful and would love to share a few updates and prayer requests with you.

First of all, we kindly ask for continued prayers for a new job for my husband. We truly appreciate all your prayers surrounding this opportunity, and we ask that you continue praying as he seeks new possibilities and direction.

This next stage is especially important regarding future opportunities and pray for God’s provision, discernment, peace, and direction for our family during this season.

In addition, we kindly ask for continued prayer for my grandmother. Although there has been some improvement, she is still struggling with throat pain, coughing, bronchitis, and ongoing health complaints that have now lasted for almost six months. She also seems to have become physically weaker during this time.

Please pray for complete healing, renewed strength, restoration of her health and energy, and that all symptoms will fully disappear. We pray that God will strengthen and restore her completely.

We would also especially appreciate prayer for my grandfather, Theo. We recently heard that his heart complaints have worsened. During a visit to the doctor, concerns were discovered regarding one of his heart valves, and there was also concern about a spot found on his skin. Because of this, he has been referred for further medical care and additional examinations as quickly as possible.

Please pray that he will receive the right help, guidance, and interventions quickly, and that the doctors will have wisdom and clarity regarding his treatment.

We pray for protection over his health, for strength and peace during this time, and that his condition may stabilize, improve, and become better again.

Please also continue to pray for peace, rest, and good health within our family, that the stress and pressure we have experienced will decrease and that God’s peace will guard our hearts and minds.

Thank you again for your love, prayers, and continued support. We truly appreciate it more than words can express.
