When I act like a good Christian and help people I find that they start taking advantage of me and my time and sometimes my finances. It upsets me so much as I don't really ask anything of them, but they still do take advantage of my help and keep asking for more and more.

I need help and the only one I feel like I can ask is the Lord and yet I don't feel like I'm getting any real help from him. I've had a crappy employer for many years that pays me when they feel like it, not in a timely manner after I've completed my work requirements per our contract. This has caused me financial problems and I've been praying for 3 years now to get a new job and despite the fact I have been applying for jobs I am never offered anything decent even though I am well qualified for jobs I have been applying for.

I wish God would help me to get a better job and help when I help other by keeping them from taking advantage of me and asking for more than I am able to give. I am depressed and sometimes wonder if God really loves me.
